I am so inconsiderate

August 2nd, 2008

I can not believe I didn’t talk about my trip to California! I know why though: First, I am an unexperienced blogger. I haven’t learned the rule of following through. Second, I am so busy! I have not been able to get on my website for a long time and I need to start making time. Ok, so the trip was fun. California was completely different than I had imagined in my head. I thought we would see palm trees everywhere and people roller blading and riding bikes. I thought it would be more relaxed and nice people with pretty tan skin and windblown hair. Boy, was I wrong!! California has horrible traffic! Horrible!!! Every woman we approached was a complete witch. We just wanted directions dammit! It was kinda dirty. I know beach towns aren’t the cleanest of places, but it looked kinda like a McDonald’s ball-pit. Newport beach on July 4th is the worst place to go. I saw a dirty maxi pad on the beach. What reaction would you have? yup! So, other than that, it was fun. We went back to Newport beach the day before we left and it was so much fun. I had sand buried in every orifice of my body (sorry, that is disturbing) and by the end of the day, I looked like I had been washed ashore from some distant island. It was great. After that, we had a dilemma with Whale Watching. There were some ‘scheduling conflicts’ so we got sent to the Laguna Beach area (Dana Point to be exact) and went on a different whale watching tour. So, I saw my favorite animal….a BLUE WHALE! I don’t even know how to describe the feeling. It was like seeing a mythical creature. It was the sweetest thing. I wanted to swim with it and talk with it and keep it company. I would not dare ride on it unless it offered. We also saw dolphins. They weren’t the bottle nose, but the common dolphin. They were playful and cute. Lastly, we saw sea lions. Those animals were absolutely adorable. We did get to go to L.A. and walked along the Hollywood stars and saw the Chinese theater. We went to Santa Monica and hung out at the beach and went to the pier. That was nice. I got to see my cousin the first night we got there. She made us dinner (so yummy) and we hung out at her apartment and played with her son until we had to go see fireworks (independence day). Her son is so fun! He was laughing up a storm and teasing us until no end. I can’t wait until my next trip. The only problem is, I don’t know where I want to go. I have so many places in my trip inquiry: China, Japan, Hawaii(again), Malaysia, Great Britain, Scotland, Spain, Greece, Dubai, Egypt, Turkey, Russia, Germany, Costa Rica, and Mexico for now.

relaxation is a luxury

Finally, a Saturday that is blank on my calendar.  I am so excited to do what I want…which is relax.  The only problem is, I don’t know how to relax!!! I am doing my best though considering it is almost 2:00 p.m. and I am in mismatched pajamas.

Yesterday was Sana’s birthday.  We went to Pete’s Dueling Piano and had a good time. I took on the task of putting everything into motion, and keeping in mind I am a stressful person, it was not pretty!!  All in all, it was worth the stress because it worked out and everyone had a good time.

We just bought tickets to the Jason Mraz concert in October.  Gosh, that is extremely exciting! I hope nothing screws up and we still get to go!! :)  Guess what else happens in October?  HALLOWEEN! My favorite holiday! I know what I am going to be, and it is not original, but I am excited nonetheless.

On Friday I am having surgery in my mouth for my impacted wisdom teeth.  I am looking forward to it because i have been in pain for close to two weeks now.  I wonder if I am going to say something embarrassing when they give me the anesthesia… hm?  What secrets will be revealed?

I guess we will have to wait to find out!!!
