Like a phoenix

I woke up this morning with a sore throat, which has been the case for a few days now. When I feel off balance, I tend to do one of two things:
1) get out of bed, make myself comfortable in the living room and relax like its just a ‘lazy day’
2) get out of bed, freshen up and put my body into shock
Both options have the same goal in mind: Trick myself into thinking I am feeling just fine

This morning I did number 2.

I went to the gym and did PiYo. I haven’t gone to a Pilates/Yoga/PiYo class in a while so it really woke up my body. After I got out of PiYo, I was feeling like an athlete! I went for my laser hair removal appointment (OUCH!), treated myself to frozen yogurt, and went grocery shopping.

All in all, it was a productive day with some ‘me time’ thrown in.

I don’t need drugs to feel better. All I need is a mental reboot button.
