Shiny is good, right?

June 23rd, 2010

My yogurt ritual has been going well. My skin has not reacted badly and I crave the yogurt every time I put it on my face so it hasn’t been going to waste. I asked my mom how my skin looked and she said it looked ‘shiny’. I guess that is good? I said my skin was dull so shiny is the complete opposite! I think that means the yogurt is doing something! Yay! Of course, with good news always comes some bad news. The bad news isn’t all that bad, but more of an inconvenience. I left the tub of yogurt out on the kitchen counter and it went bad so I didn’t have yogurt this morning. This made for the perfect opportunity to test out the tomato remedy. I took one tomato and turned it into tomato pulp. After that, I covered my face in it. My face felt fine, which was odd because I break out when I eat tomatoes, but after about a minute, my face started tingling. I figured the tomatoes were going to work on my skin but after about 30 more seconds, my face started burning. I washed off the tomatoes and my face looked the same and felt really dry.

I think I am going to stick with the yogurt. Time to head to the grocery store.
